Courage is inherent within you. It is an aspect of your True Power, but how often do you consciously choose to harness it, not only for yourself, but for the greater good?
Courage has been a consistent theme in the news stories this year. We have seen it exercised by protesters in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Bahrain, Yemen and Syria, who chose to empower themselves by saying “no” to oppression, frequently at the expense of their health, safety and lives. Individuals, who entered crumbling buildings in the New Zealand and Japan to rescue people trapped following the earthquakes, demonstrated courage with compassion. Great bravery was exercised by personnel who remained at the Fukushima nuclear plant to contain the leakage of radiation. This past week we have seen courage exercised by the Obama Administration in taking the decision to eliminate Osama bin Laden. Had the mission been unsuccessful, the consequences would have been humiliating not only for the Administration but for the USA as a nation. Courage was shown by the Middleton family at the Royal Wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They participated in a spectacular, public event, which was wholly outside of their comfort zone. Finally, immense bravery was exercised by the US Navy Seals, who successfully completed their mission in Abbotabad, at the risk of their lives. The energy of courage is spreading throughout our planet now. Utilise it. Do not be afraid of fear, it is an excellent teacher. It enables you to become conscious of the spirit within you. You need the darkness to see your Light. Osama bin Laden personified the expression of evil in our world. His removal symbolises the change that is sweeping our planet, the dissipation of fear and the illusion of powerlessness. No one is ever truly powerless. At the core of your Being you possess invincible courage of spirit, whether you choose to exercise it takes a conscious decision of will. You can either allow yourself to be controlled and immobilised by fear or harness your innate courage and stand in the Light and True Power of your Being. The choice is yours. However, do not fall into the trap of judging yourself, if you choose not to do so. Doing or not doing what intuitively feels right to you in the moment is also exercising courage and the expression of True Power.
