Do you allow your emotional body to control you? If so, you are actively choosing to surrender your true power and joy. People become unbalanced when they allow their emotional reactions to govern their thinking and behaviour. Dramas are created and sustained in this way. People sever the connection to their intuitive guidance when they allow themselves to get overwhelmed by their thoughts and feelings.
Making things personal, falling into other people’s dramas or creating them, creates stress, wastes time and energy. It is a clear sign that you are allowing your mental and emotional bodies to control you. However, you can maintain your balance and authentic power by allowing what is to be. This facilitates a state of equanimity, enabling you to hear the fearless voice of your intuition. It will guide you to the most beneficial response to a troublesome person or situation. Intuition is mistake free. It is available 24/7 wherever you may be in the world. Consider all the times when you have trusted your intuition or the times when you ignored your intuitive guidance. What were the outcomes? How often do you react rather than respond? Naturally, there will be circumstances, such as emergencies when our instinctive survival skills and compassion respond immediately to a situation. However, on a day to day basis, at your place of work or in daily life, how do you behave towards people who are judgmental or less than loving to you? How do you treat the challenges of life? Do you choose to feel resentful and stressed or grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow?
One is a choice for true power the other for victimhood. Neither is right or wrong. They are merely choices you make.
