The current climate of financial cutbacks holds opportunities for empowerment, learning and growth within it. This is just the time for people, who are willing, to take responsibility for and become fully aware of their true creative power. We possess the ability to consciously create the life and work we love if we choose to do so.
For millennia, many people have been conditioned to believe that humankind is controlled by some separate, external and invisible force, sometimes known as God, which decides what we should and should not experience. This has created fear and dependency as many people believe they are helpless and powerless over what happens to them. Victim consciousness is created and sustained this way. For some people it seems easier to abdicate responsibility for their actions by blaming others, circumstances and / or God for their suffering, whereas in truth, we are truly powerful creators and co-creators of our reality. We contributed to the budget deficit whether consciously or unconsciously by default.
There have been times in my life when I have been without employment or income, when I have been disabled through illness or injury. However, adversity compelled me to harness my innate creativity and power, albeit fearfully, reluctantly and filled with resentment at the time. For years, I remained in positions I disliked because I was not fully conscious of and therefore could not trust my ability to create. Circumstances, which I perceived as challenging, moved me from enduring my life to enjoying it. I learned about acceptance, the generosity and kindness of others when I was compelled to give them my vulnerability. I learned to receive and trust.
We can either sit back and bewail our fate or accept the budget deficit because it is and decide how to make the best of the circumstances we find ourselves in. The choice of whether or not to exercise the true creative power we possess is ours.
