Deep within you is a limitless supply of strength, energy, creative ability and more. It is your true power, which people rarely experience because it is held captive by the limitations individuals place upon themselves whether consciously or unconsciously.
Fear, beliefs, judgment, shame, guilt and victimhood are just some of the bars which maintain the illusory prison of limitation and abuse. The foundations of the prison are set in separation consciousness, the belief that we are separate from our innate power. For millennia, people have believed they were at the mercy of some invisible, external force, sometimes known as God, which had power over them, whereas in truth, the core essence of your Being holds all the power you need and more. No one can take your power away unless you let them.
Are you your own jailer? Are you enduring your life, your work, a relationship, or wholly enjoying them? Do you hold other people responsible for how you feel, or for what you can and cannot do? If so, you have created a prison for yourself.
The keys to freedom include the willingness to know yourself differently, an open mind and total self- honesty. That place of true power within you can be accessed when your mind is still. Whilst being a superb tool for carrying out the functions of life and ensuring our survival, it is the mind which creates the prison. Listen and trust the intuitive wisdom and knowing of your heart, it will set you free.
When you become fully conscious of the authentic power of your Being, you will know complete freedom, peace and joy. Until that happens, you may well be jailer to the infinite beauty, wisdom, true power and joy within you.
The recent release Aung San Suu Kyi in Burma and Paul and Rachel Chandler in Somalia remind us to check within and ask, am I truly free if not, what is my prison?
