True Power is exercised when you accept challenge and change without resistance. We are living through times of transition. The old fear centred ways of living and working are falling away. They are joyless and ineffective which is why many structures are crumbling.
Consequently, many people are fearful and uncertain for they do not know what will replace them. By allowing what is to be and embracing the present moment you are authentically empowered. When you accept what is and release the need to know and control outcomes, then you are aligned with your true power. This does not mean being craven and turning a blindeye to harmful behaviour. It means being in a state of balance and equanimity at all times which enables you to respond effectively to challenge and change with clarity and focus. You are not distracted by any dramas or being controlled by emotions of the moment.
The protests in Tunisia, Egypt and signs of nascent protests in Yemen and Sudan are the heralds for change. The concept of feeling empowered by having power over other people is a delusion. It is not authentic empowerment, which comes from within. True Power is accessed when you are aligned with your heart and not wholly identified with the fear based egocentric mind.
As I write, people have gathered in Tahir Square, it is being reported that helicopters hover over the “heart” of Cairo.” Symbolically, in choosing this location to come together, the protesters are demonstrating the evolution of human consciousness, which will be heart centred. People are beginning to own their personal power and all true power, both in human and metaphysical terms comes from the heart.
Embrace change, embrace challenge for on the other side of them is authentic empowerment and joy. The protests in Tunisia and Egypt invite you to consider whether you wish to give your power away to sources external to you or claim your authentic power and the responsibility which comes with this? The choice is yours.
