Being heart centred works because it is the expression of true power in action. When people work with joy and enthusiasm they are far more productive, motivated and healthier. It is therefore insane to work with fear and indifference, yet many individuals within organisations choose to do so, whether consciously or by default.
A recent report issued by the Health Service Ombudsman, Ann Abraham, in the UK, revealed that the “basic issues of humanity were lacking” in the care of the elderly. The report found that some NHS staff failed to treat patients with care, dignity and respect, causing patients to suffer unnecessary pain, neglect and distress.
Some qualities of the heart include compassion, courage, passion, enthusiasm, kindnessand truthfulness. These faculties are free and available 24/7 and inherent within us all. However, they can become frozen by the enslavement to the fear based mind.
A climate of fear currently pervades many organisations which foster a culture of silent timidity and collusion. There is a fear of failure, a fear to confront troubling issues for fear of job loss or backlash. Some professionals believe their managers are completely out of touch with what is happening on the ground.
Increased demands are being made of professionals against diminishing resources. In some areas it is being said that management structure has gone from compassionate to faceless and nameless. Priority is being given to the purse not people which is demotivating staff.
People are reporting that they are now enduring their work no longer enjoying it. They are dispirited, tired and depressed, with many taking time off for stress.
Whilst professional training and education is excellent, it is mostly cold and analytical. The focus is upon educating minds not facilitating the awareness and benefits of also taking a heart centred approach to work.. What feels best to you to work with fear or from the integrity and true power of heart centred consciousness?
Every healthy person is responsible for their state of consciousness. You, your organisation or company can either work with struggle or with joy? The former comes from the fear based mind and depletes, the latter from energising true power of the heart. How do you choose to work?
