Stress is an indicator that you are out of alignment with your true nature and power. Deep within you all is a limitless source of personal power which can be accessed when the mind is still. Stillness allows your true self to be revealed. It is a higher state of consciousness which is experienced as a peaceful presence and awareness. This is your natural state of being.
Meditation is an excellent strategy for accessing this state of freedom and for dealing with stress effectively. Meditation silences the mind and stills the emotions. It facilitates a deeper connection to self. A daily meditation practice, preferably the same time each day, helps you to reduce, eliminate and eventually prevent stress. If you do not already meditate, why not create a quiet place where you can meditate undisturbed? It is better not to have taken stimulants such as caffeine or alcohol. Perhaps start with 10 minutes and increase the time you meditate gradually. If thoughts occur, allow them to be without judging them. You may well find that your intuitive abilities are greatly enhanced through meditation practise. Insights on matters which concern you may be received. You may wish to keep a personal journal and record your experiences. Time for self-reflection can in fact, save you time!Stress means you have become unconscious of the real you.
