You can eliminate stress at work by not taking things personally. If you are feeling upset about something, then you are not standing in your true power. You are allowing yourself to be manipulated and controlled by other people and/ or circumstances, which is stressful.
Whenever you make other people or circumstances responsible for how you feel, you are claiming stress and victimhood. Dramas are created as resentment, anger, retaliation, punishment and more follow. Time and energy are wasted. The entire experience is joyless, dispiriting and tiring. As always, you have a choice. You can either choose to let your emotions, such as anger and / or guilt control you or deal with them constructively. Allow yourself to feel what you feel, without making yourself or others wrong. Release any judgment. You are more than your emotions. You have a choice whether to feel stressed or not. Become present in the moment. Just go with the experience without placing any judgment upon it, then listen and follow your intuitive knowing as to how to respond, once the emotion of the moment has passed.
People and / or situations which you allow to “press your buttons” are excellent teachers. They are mirroring something within you that requires your attention. They offer opportunities for empowerment and growth. You can choose to see the learning in a situation rather than experience the stress of it!
Non-judgment and allowing what is to be are two excellent strategies for preventing stress at work.
