Brief Facts:
Alpha Organisation offers services to demanding and vulnerable clients. Staff are overworked and under-resourced. They are confronted with challenges on a daily basis, including an insensitive legal system and unhelpful media interest. They are required to make serious decisions affecting the lives and well being of others.
Course objectives are identified following discussions with clients.
Staff to:-
- possess tools to insulate and protect them from being crushed and de-motivated by people and systems.
- be able to maintain and increase passion for their work
- enhance professional resilience and well being
The "Claim Your True Power" Training Day
Following introductions, participants state their individual objectives for the day. Further areas of disempowerment, grievance, challenge are also identified at this time.
Staff are feeling dispirited. They are resentful towards management; angry at the undo-ability of some of their tasks due to lack of resources. The department is short staffed. There is a lack of communication between those in the field and management. Participants are feeling unappreciated and exhausted. They fear being sued, they resent having to look over their shoulder, they resent the shift in organisations priorities from people to paper and purse.
There is a culture of silence regarding issues concerning non compliance with legal protocols. Participants are afraid to communicate their concerns to management for fear of losing their jobs or retaliation.
Through questioning, discussion and introduction of applicable steps of The True Power Strategy, each participant is shown how to apply the relevant step to deal with their particular challenge [s].
The course reveals that:-
- participants have low self worth
- do not value themselves
- they are uncomfortable with or afraid of confrontation
- they are unwilling or unable to set personal and professional boundaries.
- they do not trust themselves.
- their internal reality is being reflected back to them externally.
- there is imbalance in their lives with little time for recreation and joy.
Through interaction, shared discussions, examples and learning about The 12 Steps of The True Power Strategy and how to apply them participants learn:-
- that there is more to them than they previously realised.
- how to maintain a state of balance and equanimity at all times.
- to identify and release judgments, out-dated beliefs and self defeating behaviour.
- to accept responsibility for the choices they make.
- how to identify and release their fears.
- how to recognise challenges as opportunities to empower themselves.
- to allow what is to be.
- to reclaim their initial passion for their work.
- to value, respect and honour themselves.
- how harness their innate ability to initiate creative solutions to the challenges they face for the benefit of all
